  1. Pipe Bombs

Replaces rocket launcher. Pipe bombs that you throw, hit the ground, wait, explode. There's no way to get them to use a detonator, so they work on a short fuse instead. You can collect a bunch of pipe bombs, but you need to find one with a primer before you can use them.

  2. Necrodoom

    Gameplay modification for Doom(2).

You're the pilot of the experimental AS-66K Necrosuit, an assault exoskeleton developed for heavy- duty military operations. Asskicking and name-taking are your daily duties, so when the Union Aerospace Corporation wisely decides to open a gateway to Hell one fateful day, you decide to do what you do best: suit up and kick some demon ass!

The mod serves as a 'conversion' of sorts of the arsenal from Raven Software's obscure car-combat shooter "Necrodome," featuring a stylish set of suit-mounted guns loosely inspired by their Necrodome counterparts. Melt the competition with laser cannons, heat-seeking missiles, twin chainguns, and rocket scatter pods. Kablooey!

See the "Gameplay Notes" section below for a breakdown of the mod's more subtle features, like entering/exiting the Necrosuit and inventory basics.

  3. Ancient Aliens Textures

Resources from the Ancient Aliens megawad.

aa-tex.wad contains textures and flats. aa-mons.wad includes the custom monsters and custom decorations used in Ancient Aliens.

playpal-aatex.png is the Ancient Aliens palette. You can use it as a base to create your own palettes with additional ranges: it should be clear which ranges are not native to Doom and can be changed to whatever you want.

phu_big.bmp is a bitmap font to be used with Bitmap Font Writer.

alnarch1.xcf is a GIMP image file for the arch textures. You can use it to make variants of the arches with alternate background textures (a different set of bricks, for instance).

See aa-tex-info.txt for some additional instructions if you're unfamiliar with working with custom palettes. You'll need to follow the included steps to import and reindex some IWAD resources into your project.

  4. Beautiful Doom (version 6.2.0)

Beautiful Doom is the grandfather of enhancement mods, born in 2008, updated multiple times, and finally updated again in 2015, after a long silence. Version 6.0 was an ultimate update that took it to the next level.

It's a mod that keeps original Doom gameplay unchanged but introduces lots of special effects and visual enhancements for deeper and more thrilling Doom experience. Practically every single object in Doom was remade and updated, and many effects can be controlled while using the mod.

  5. Style Mod

My entry for CutmanMike's second Doom Mutator Contest, in which contestants create a new gameplay mod using no new sprites, sounds, or maps - code only. So using ZDoom's textures system and some clever Decorate tricks, I cooked up this thing.

  7. 40mm Grenade Launcher from Dtcog12

Title says it all. These graphics originated in Shadow Warrior as well, but were seriously patched up by me. Standard grenade launcher type thing. It comes in two versions: MBF only, and all other engines. I suggest you use the MBF version, but if not, then you should use Doom Legacy. (looks cool) Replaces rocket launcher.

  9. DM Patch #2 (Inspired By SiN)

A deathmatch gameplay enhancement, based on SiN. Not nearly as complex as my Quake3 based patch...

    All weapons are changed:
1: Fists Twice as strong as before
1: Plasma Accellerator In close combat mode. Is 3 times as powerful up close as it is far away.
2: Machine Gun Finally, a useful default weapon.
3: Shotgun Fires the SSG spread. Slow action, but deadly.
3: Rifle Super strong pinpoint accuracy.
    4: Chaingun Spray and pray.
5: Rocket Launcher Nothing too different here.
6: Plasma Accellerator Again, not too different. Faster plasma.
7: Quantum Destabilizer Fires a spray of flames. Be careful, as it hurts to touch the spray! Has a limited range, so no sniping!

  10. Random Imp Generator

Variety is always the best in games, in my opinion. After discovering the imp/dark imp variant packs on Realm667 and toying with them for a while, I thought it'd be cool to put them all together. Every imp in any Doom level this wad is loaded with has a chance to change into one of the many varieties of regular imps or dark imps.

Excluding my own for the generator itself and some modifications, sprites, decorate files and gldefs were all made by others. Besides making all of them set into the same species (to stop probable imp-on-imp infighting), making Imp Abominations fire three fireballs instead of just one at a time, and changing the Nether Imp's blood decal colour to green instead of red (as their sprites imply they bleed green), they're all untouched and still in their original forms, as their original authors have made them.

  11. Frying Pan

An old weapon originally made for a cancelled "Household Oddities" where I made weapons out of random household objects. This one is from a set of 4 in total.

This was made over half a year ago, so the quality isn't the greatest, though I also don't feel the need to make a new one.

Also, I don't remember who/where the hitting/swinging sound is from, because it was sent to me via PM on the old Skulltag forums. I think the hand template was lifted off the ZDoom Forums, so thanks for that as well.

  12. Chaos, Uprising

Your man is a mysterious and solitary individual known as "The Newcomer", who fled to Parthoris - after many years of perilous journeys - with the intention of finally finding a peaceful setting to rest. Unfortunately, after only a few years of apparent calm, the state of things suddenly degrades - a sinister plague starts decimating the population of Parthoris, and everything seems to turn hopeless and doomed - save for a relatively small congregation of sombre, dark-dressed, cloaked individuals that reunite under a secret congregation labeled as 'The Serpent Cult'. In a distant epoch, this land had already been saved once by a legendary elven hero... Yet it seems that the dark forces that were then cast away have now managed to return, and gathered enough followers to claim their revenge...

  13. Immoral Conduct Boom Version. V2

When Cory Whittle first released Immoral Conduct, people were impressed. Unfortunatley, many did not prefer EDGE as their engine. Instead, most people played either a Boom-like port or Zdoom 1.23. This is what it's for.

  17. Insane Weapons Patch v1.0

This new patch I made because I had so many cool weapon ideas that simply wouldn't be appropriate for the Aliens theme. So I decided to make a super weapons patch that could be played with Doom ][ levels (unlike Aliens Doom 3 which would only work with levels specifically designed for it). In the process, I decided to modify a few monsters and try my best at modifying or creating new graphics. I have playtested it extensively with Doom ][ and other people's add-on levels and it works just great! My only problem was deciding which of my new weapons I could keep and which ones I couldn't. So I made 2 patches, Insane1 and Insane2. They are exactly the same except that they have different weapons in the 6th and 7th slot (see details under NEW/MODIFIED WEAPONS).

2fort on it's original incarnation.   Pretty great.
    • By Individualised · Posted
The first ever version of 2fort. It barely resembles its later incarnations.   Crazy how an entire franchise and FPS genre spawned from a single map. It's a crime that the origins of Team Fortress have been forgotten. Most people don't know anything before Quake/TF1 2fort, but nope, this is yet another massively influential thing that the Doom community can claim.

Great fun. Bleak, metal-driven style over fairly easy substance, which is a good thing. I can see the song getting annoying in a more challenging map.

Pretty fun map if you want some quick, easy slaughter fun. Just sucks a bit that you can just cheese the whole thing by leaving the arena and running around at the edges of the map. Cool to play with gameplay mods tho!   Music is alright but it does get a little annoying after a while.

Classic, sober, simple tech map that I'm fond of. The flow of the map is like a river, and the backtrack (that myself is usually upset about) is intuitive to follow. The teleport repopulation is smart enough. I don't know about the health/ammo tightness other comments talked about because I played with a mod.
