What's your favorite gun?

Recommended Posts

What is your favorite (real)gun? I'll go first; Mine's the Glock 17 gen 5 since it's the most comfortable gun I've ever held.

Only saw it show up in one game, and even then I never saw anyone use it over the Bren, but I still like it

Glock 19 Gen 5. Insanely reliable, not too big nor too small, easy to take down, swap sights, can fit G17 mags. By far my favorite pistol. I had to carry a Gen 3 as an armed guard, so the Gen 5 was an obvious choice when I decided to get a pistol of my own. There are far nicer looking guns out there, but I wanted something that would go bang any time I pulled the trigger, and in my experience every Glock I've fired has done exactly that, even as far back as Gen 2.

Though, if I could only have 1 gun it would be the Glock 26 because it can be loaded with small flush fit magazines to make it tiny all the way up to the Glock 17 magazine.

My two favourite real firearms are both HK. The MP5 and G3-TGS. Similar guns with identical actions for different scales.

Ever since I played CS 1.6 many moons ago, I've been Fascinated by the FN Five-SeveN. It seems to be a beast, but I'll never know. The design is amazing, though.

I live in Australia so I'm not really a guns guy. Never fired a real one. Wouldn't mind trying one at a range or something. I love video game guns, but I'll just say looking at statistics I'm very glad the real ones aren't particularly prevalent over here. Not trying to deride the people who do own them or anything, I know I'd be a lot more inclined to want a firearm if people around me were carrying.

Steyr Aug, my bf and I want to get guns but we live in Australia, lucky for him his favourite is the Win1886 which you can own in Aus, but Ill never get to own my favourite :(

On the topic of favourite guns ive handled: M16A2 in Vietnam, being smol it was a nice handlable weight and size, I fired and M14 and M1 Garand and not only was the kick on the 308 and 30 06 like insane, they were very wieldy and cumbersome for myself. Id like to try the m1a1 one day, its my favourite pre cold war firearm

I am very fond of my Stoeger coachgun.  Side by side, double-action.  Holy shit did that thing catch me off guard after doing both barrels individually, then having the genius idea to try both at once.  I was kneeled knowing it was gonna be hard and it still damn near knocked me on my ass.  Great fun.

I really like my S&W 9 shield plus, its held up really well over the years and is super easy to conceal, which is neat for a gun that holds 13+1 rounds.

It's what the AR-33 from Goldeneye was based on, I believe. Hella reliable from what I'm told.

I don't think anything will ever be able to top the Nagant M1895 revolver for me, thanks to one absurd quirk it has.

For those not in the know, the typical revolver has a small gap between the cylinder and the barrel which allows gases to escape when firing, reducing bullet velocity just a smidge. The designers of the M1895 weren't satisifed with this, so built a unique mechanism (which requires a special type of ammunition) that completely seals the gap prior to the gun firing. Zero loss of velocity, or as Cave Johnson would say, "65% more bullet, per bullet".

It also means that, unlike virtually any other revolver, you can put a suppressor on it.

Is it practical? Not in the slightest. Is it amusing? Eternally.

I think you mean the D5K Deutsche, the AR-33 is based on a mutant M16A2.
