  1. Oh that's really funny. You start with the pistol and then can't do anything with it.
  2. I'd like to do it as a Boom-compatible, because I'm still learning the basics, but this is something I'll keep in mind for when I feel ready to work in GZDoom.
  3. I know the standard start is the pistol + 50 rounds. How does one modify what the player starts with?

    Trouble test-running maps in Eureka

    That fixed it, thanks!

That might be it. The map is called E1M1. Maybe I need to export it and start a new project with Doom II?

    Trouble test-running maps in Eureka

I have GZDoom but I can't figure out how to get Eureka to talk to it. It won't let me put the path in manually and I can't get there through the folder interface because of Linux permissions I'm scared to muck with. Right now I'm using Chocolate Doom as a Boom substitute and it mostly works, but this is one of the places it doesn't. (The 'secret' sector flag is another one, but I'll deal with that later).

Yes, I've been doing that each time I open the program.
  8. I'm new to mapping and am using Eureka. Things mostly work as expected, but I've run into an odd problem test-running my maps. If you use freedoom1 as your IWAD and test-launch your map, it works. If you use freedoom2, though, it sends you to the Doom II campaign rather than your PWAD map. The configuration menu looks like this: I tried it with the official Doom II wad and that also starts you in the campaign rather than your test map. What am I missing?
