[NEW GRUNGO WAD OUT NOW!!!] Entryway, but it is Nuked

Recommended Posts

PROS:

- Looks interesting and looks like alot of effort was put into it

- feels immersive

- high detail

CONS:

- Feels somewhat amateur

- Tooo dark, i know its supposed to be nuked but it just feels way to dark i had to use IDBEHOLDL

- Some misaligned textures here and there

- Not many new additions, for a sequel if you decide to make underhalls nuked, atleast add some new paths that look like they are tunnels that

got nuked into existence

- One stimpack is not possible to get

------------

Sorry is if too harsh review

just it not really satisfies me

its too plain, try adding more challenge

This was a really cool idea for a map! I would love to play through all of Doom2 if it was like this. I think it's a great concept for a community project.

Cool, hehe. Maybe a little dark in the hallway which leads to the imps room.

I couldn't find last secret, lol.

And that stimpack is unreachable :P

Grungo.

It's nice to see that you are now mapping "in character". This map would

probably feel right at home in a Dwango deathmatch wad, if of course,

that you provide the DM starts and geared it toward that play method.

As much as I'd like to nitpick at the texture misalignments, I cannot due

to them being both in character and playing along with the theme of a

map being nuked. Great for a laugh but notso good for replayability.

My included screenshot shows where a texturing error (or maybe it's

intentional) gives a HOM effect ~ this very bad mapping practice Grungo!

Spoiler

A strangely memorable remake of what's honestly a rather boring opening map. These little details are really nice!

wires hanging from the ceilings,

the wrecked condition of the ceiling in Entryway,

the manner in which knowledge of secrets is played on to reach the exit

the way you start behind the chainsaw

the green field where the hidden shotgun would be being covered with rubble

the final passageways before the exit being sewers-like, almost like Underhalls (which one could probably guess at from your facsination with Build games in general) and with that accompanying security station? that's inaccessible.

the security station inaccessibility is intentional, the door is jammed

also me think about making nuked underhalls, anything you reccomend when grungo make it?

Underhalls is subterranean, so maybe some holes in the ceiling with rubble so you can climb outside?
