Is there a way to use borderless window mode?

Recommended Posts

I want to be able to access other things on my computer while playing the game but my curser stays on Doom 3 and I can't even use the windows key to open anything.

This is for normal Doom 3 (on steam, if that changes anything).

Borderless Gaming works well if the game's resolution is the same aspect ratio as your display; 4:3 will stretch to fit if you're using a 16:9 monitor.

If you don't want to download anything, pressing alt+enter will toggle between fullscreen and windowed mode while running Doom 3, or if you want to be extra you can type "r_fullscreen 0" followed by "vid_restart" in the console.

Edit: I managed to get it to work.

I looked on the github page and it said it has support for Windows 7 - 10, however I use Windows 11, and whenever I try to use it, it doesn't load and shows up with this:

For some reason it says that it can't load default.cfg despite me putting it in the base folder, which is where the normal Doom 3 default.cfg file is. So I'm not sure if it's because I'm on Windows 11 or if I'm just stupid.

I read this:

But I have no idea what it's trying to say as I can hardly understand it.
