Ion Fury, a new Build Engine game out now.

Someone should play one of their songs on that piano.

WRATH: Aeon of Ruin (a new game from 3D Realms)

It sounds like someone doesn't like Dark Souls.

Why does it matter? It does not seem to me like these people actually have that much power, except when they pressure companies to get people fired, which is pretty pathetic. The new Wolfenstein was pretty woke and it didn't do very well. You've got a hardcore nazi-killer, a multicultural cast, plenty of white bashing, communist allies, everything these far-leftists love. You even get to kill KKK members. If they really had so much power then this game would have been game of the year but they didn't even bother to buy it. On the flipside, Kingdom Come: Deliverance was bashed by all of these loonies for having a Gamergate lead-developer and not including black people in a 99% white country (look at the demographics if you don't believe me) in the middle ages and it did fantastically well. So why should they care that they would be ostracized? If anything, what they should care about is that they have no spine.

It's funny to see 3D Realms, of all companies adhere to these PC ideas. I wonder what Duke Nukem would think of all of this. I don't like that they bowed down to ResetERA and "sensitivity training" is a very "nice" euphemism for brainwashing but I'm against reviewbombing unless they break the game in any way, which they did not. Reviews should be only about the quality of the game. Reviews are not made only for SJWs and the anti-PC crowd. Politically-based reviews hurt people who don't care about these issues and just want to play a good game and the developers who worked really hard on the game.

Maybe give the feature a chance first.

They should hire Carpenter Brut to make a couple of songs for the sequel.

    Wolfenstein Young Blood

I wonder what went through the writersÈ› heads when they wrote the twins. They are just super nasty in a not-cool-at-all way. All I can think about is what bad parents BJ and Anya are, like they never set any boundries at all. I really hope they die at the beginning of the next game.
  8. Well, the HAR is basically the real Doom 2 chaingun. It behaves exactly the same, which is a long-range needler. I think it's because the size of the Chaingun in classic Doom is not proportional to the amount of damage it does. It's more like an SMG if you think about it. It works in Classic Doom because it is pixelated and you only see part of the weapon. Because the HAR already occupies the "long-range needler" function of the classic Doom Chaingun, the actual 2016 Chaingun is in a weird spot, like it can't decide what it's place in the dance is.
  9. 1. Increase the Pistol firing rate. 2. Buff Former Humans to be more accurate and more agressive. Maybe even make them fire three bullets in quick succession 3. Make Pinkies faster as well as their bite animation. 4. Make Health and Armor bonuses give 2% instead of 1%. 5. Slightly increase the speed of the Imp fireball as well as make them move slightly faster. 6. Increase the Baron of Hell speed and give him a more unique attack. Maybe a semi-homing Fireball.
  10. On the other hand, what am I even looking at here? It's all chaos. Where are my eyes supposed to focus? What are all those small details coming out? There's no breathing room in this model. It's just big hunk of overly-produced nothing.
  11. Here's an example of what I liked in 2016 and what I didn't like. This one has plenty of 45 degree sharp edges, bold, defined and chuky shapes. The beauty of this weapon comes from the silhouette and not from tons of small indentations, rivets etc. When I look at this weapon, my eyes are not "suffocated" by tons of small details. There's a few details but they are very tastefully placed. It's perfect, my favorite gun in the game.
  12. @RonnieJamesDiner It's from Quake Arcane Dimensions. You have GOT to play it.
  13. So before I say anything, let me just say that they really nailed the general art style. It's very faithful and they did a great job doing the impossible task of articulating the unique flavor of Doom but I still can't get over the feeling that there are are too many pipes and other small details. My eyes don't really know where to focus a lot of the times. I'm not saying they should return to 1997 or even 2004 visuals but maybe they could learn something from this. I kind of miss the smooth metal and marble environments of earlier Id titles, even including Doom 3. It looks cleaner and more readable. I think that less is more in the case of Doom and is actually the final piece of the puzzle. When I think of the Doom art style, the first thing that comes to mind are bold, defined and angular shapes. What do you think? There are plenty of good examples in the new games though. This one really nails the feeling of E1.

    Doom: Annihilation update

That's what I think too and I hope that is the case. I have a feeling the movie will end with either a backshot of Our Hero entering the Hangar or they will find the sarcophagus of the Doomslayer so he will be the monster of the movie. If the first theory is true, then maybe the characters of the movie are the dead marines in E1. Still, I'm more optimistic about it after the new trailer. I'm not expecting miracles but it might not be completely awful after all, who knows. The shot with the imp horde was the best part.
