Xim's star wars doom movement issues

Well, I went back to the previous version and it seems to work fine. Don't know why the 3.v doesn't work with the 4.11dev delta touch. Used the v.2.9. thanks for reply.
  2. I attempted to run Xim's star wars doom on Delta touch 4.11dev and everything works except forward or backward movement. Is there a compatible issue? I've tried the newest and older versions of the mod and GZDoom. Any help/suggestions?

How to make DOOM 95 playable on modern PC'S

Sorry if this has already been mentioned. But there is on moddb site a doom95 patch which makes the doom95 playable on modern PCs. And there are other ways as well. Again, sorry if this was already written. See this forum post here as well: Run Doom95 on Windows 10! By OpenRift, November 13, 2020 in Source Ports

    Wolfenstein 3D port

Thanks, (individualised), I got ecwolf working perfectly, and I have used GZDoom to play the wolfendoom TC.

    Wolfenstein 3D port

I have no experience with those things. Just want a more effective way to play it without steam or gog

    Wolfenstein 3D port

I know this site is mainly for doom subjects but I'm having difficulty finding info. I have the GoG and steam versions of Wolfenstein 3D but having a difficult time getting them to run well and also controller issues. Are there alternative ways to play this on PC instead of using steam and GoG? Any help would be appreciated.

Doom 64 CE on delta touch.

Yes! Place the doom64 iwad, and doom 64 ipk3 in the files directory where the regular wads of doom, doom 2, final doom and Freedoom go. Then activate the ipk3 and it will start up. Easier than I thought it would be. I let immorpher know this on the doom 64 discord site
  8. Does anyone have factual info on what type of data is on the doom 64 LRG cartridge? I was wanting to know whether it is a ROM like older NES, SNES, N64 carts which are still playable 30+ years or some degrading data storage which will not last even if stored for collection, preservation and future use. Anyone actually taken a switch cart apart and really know for sure? Especially the doom 64 switch cart. Any info or ideas?

    Video game preservation

I know this is a well worn topic, but if cartridges, CD ROMs, flash cards and drives, hard drives, etc. Cannot last then what is the alternative to storing, saving and preserving games? Doom has managed to stay alive and active for years longer than most games. What is the next step if physical media is ceased, digital stores are shut down and greedy game corporations are constantly looking for "piracy" and every thing else they can find a loophole for to call illegal? Any ideas/suggestions on how to keep games alive?

    Hello moblie doomers

Well, the failure to update the Freedoom app would be Google's decision. Why? Who knows what "technical" excuse was given, I'm sure with some leaning on by Bethesda and having their own ports buried on the play store had a lot to do with it. I guess if folks weren't happy enough with their ports, just hide them away and try to make sure no one else can make an alternative. 🙄

    Doom 64 retribution music

How can this work on Delta touch app if at all?

    Hello moblie doomers

Lonespacemarine, I replied to your other post so no need to repeat it here. Delta touch worth every dime, even the non updated Freedoom is still worth the time and effort. So far both surviving not being buried or removed by Google from pressure by Bethesda. Only time will tell if mobile dooming can get even better.

    Hello moblie doom players

Hello, lonespacemarine. I play doom (and it's many mods/wads) on Delta touch and the older Freedoom app still not yet buried or hidden on Google by mean Mr. Bethesda and the bethesda doom 1 and 2 ports were really sub par but they stood to make money on those. Anyway, while mobile isn't the most comfortable way, and touch controls are always iffy, delta touch is real good, freedoom app fair. I have attached many a great wad and mod to them and thoroughly enjoy all of it. There are those who dislike mobile gaming, and that's ok. Playing ANY doom on the go is good enough for me. How far doom can evolve on mobile is hard to say. But as long as delta touch and Freedoom apps fight to avoid being removed or buried, we at least have options to play good quality doom. I believe even the non updated Freedoom is better than the Bethesda ports and free. So there are my thoughts. And being able play doom 64 retribution on mobile...👍😄😀🤗

    Freedoom1/doom64

I tried playing doom64 retribution(only 1.0-1.3 versions will play on it) on the Freedoom app from Google but for some reason the idclev stage select will not work until selecting stage 11 which turns into freedoom stage 11. No other doom64 maps seem to show up. However on Freedoom 2 all works fine. Since I kept Freedoom so Google would not hide or get rid of it, I wanted to see how doom64 worked. Any ideas why Freedoom 1 has this issue?

    Doom 64 Discord

I don't know if this reply belongs here but I love doom 64, I dont care what flaws or negatives are thrown at it. It's a beautiful game, well made, I believe cared about and the 2020 remaster also was given the best love and care a game can get. I know it's just my opinion but any group of supporters of this game I am all for and would like to be part of. Especially kaiser who worked so hard on bringing doom 64 projects to our hands ( and the remaster) to enjoy this work of interactive art! I hope this title(doom 64) and every project for it lives on on this great community of doom!
